Summer’s almost over, but I’m just starting my vacation! For the next 9 days I will be sleeping in, taking long lunches with pals and helping my husband open his restaurant (!!!). I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have this time to focus on all the other wonderful things happening in my life. One of the best perks to this job is the generous vacation allowance — we get 3 weeks paid – to start!
But without the support of our team, we could never really let go and decompress. All summer long people have been traveling, spending time with their families and just getting some well-deserved R&R (courtesy of R&B) and we encourage that! When you return from a vacation or even a staycation, you’re rested and rejuvenated — and that gets reflected in your work. For the past week I’ve been keeping an eye on one of my teammate’s orders, and starting tomorrow, I will be passing my orders on to another coworker who has graciously offered to take care of them in my absence. Knowing that I can turn off my work-brain and relax with the confidence that my clients are covered is the greatest luxury. Ahhhhhh…..
